Review:
"High efficiency furnace is worth the extra cost."
I have owned my Carrier high efficiency furnace for about a year and a half. Its been a great addition to the dwelling and seems to perform well while running more efficiently. I've only had one issue with the furnace, however this was not the furnaces fault as the installer/servicer left their alligator clips attached to the circuit board causing the unit to run constantly. If I have any complaints about the unit it would be the initial cost. I paid about $3800 for the unit installed which was a shock to the pocket book. Also, this unit has a three stage fan which can get very loud when its in stage 3. However its a minor irritant and should improve once I tighten down the vents under the house. I would definately recommend this unit to friends and family. Overall I am very happy with the furnace and would purchase again.

Other Performance 95 Reviews

The Performance 95 is generally recommended on homeowner forums and review sites across the web. Contractors on gardenweb.com suggest this unit to shoppers, citing its two-stage operation and variable speed blower as features worth investing in. With those components, they say, the unit should provide quieter and less expensive operation in the heating season than high-efficiency single-stage models.

A review on hvac-for-beginnners.com also notes the two-stage gas valve and blower make this model a good option for a high end furnace. Similarly, homeowners on doityourself.com homeowners mention the comparatively low price point also makes this unit more attractive than competing models.
