"No problems"
I had a new Burnham v-7 installed in 1994. I'm happy to report that I've had absolutely no problems with it.

"Burnham"
We installed an oil fired burnham steam boiler in our place of business and have reduced our oil consumption by about 15% in each of the prior 2 winters. The system works well no problems today!

"Dont buy a Burnham"
I bought a two year old house with a Burnham furnace. Every year it would breakdown despite annual service. This year it sprung a leak, flooded by basement, and died after a total of 8 years of operation. It has a "great" 25 year warranty if you are the original owner, otherwise you are a sol. The company offered a $700 rebate on an upgrade to a new furnace. But after my experience with a Burnham furnace, I would rather spend full price and buy a reliable furnace from another company. Stay away from this company!

"Distributor in Connecticut"
Burnham did have a problem with their v-7 series oil fired boiler. There is no debating this. Unfortunately every manufacturer has at some time or another had a problem with products they manufacture. Its how they deal with this problem that seperates "the men from the boys". With over 25 years in heating wholesale business I've seen no other boiler manufacturer stand behind their product, dealers, and end user as well as Burnham has. It's true that if you are not the original purchaser of the boiler there is no warranty, but Burnham does offer these people a substantial rebate, some over $1000, toward the purchase of a new Burnham boiler. Have you ever bought a used car and had a problem? When you brought it to the dealer I'm sure he offered to give you a new car, right? Burnham continues products among the best in the world in both the residential and commercial market segments and I will continue to sell them with confidence

I'm a homeowner and I'm about to have my current boiler replaced, but there has been a Burnham-Holiday unit down in the basement for 31 years. In the 13 years I have owned the house, it has only started making trouble within the last year. The boiler was originally installed in 1977. I'm getting another one.

The man who installed my oil burning Burnham furnace told me verbally that yours is the only furnace which uses stainless steel rather than cast iron. I haven't found that piece of information on the web and am wondering if that is true. I've only had the unit for a year and am very happy with it, but I'm curious to know if the "stainless steel" info. is fact or fiction.
