"horrible furnace"
I own a bryant model 350mav which is only 11 years old, the unit was installed by a professional hvac company and after the 5th year, I started having problems with it, first I had to change the inducer blower motor, then I had to change the control board, and now my secondary heat exchange unit is completely rusted and discharges a very fowl odor and rust in the utility sink. For an 11 year old blower, I have pretty much replaced every piece of equipment that needed to be replaced.

"Fragile high efficiency furnaces"
We have a Bryant Plus 90I (355 mav). It cost about $5000 for furnace and installation seven years ago. Installation was botched and furnace was almost ruined due to a number of issues. It generally needs service every year and this year we had a new inducer board installed. The furnace ran a few hours and this item failed. If you want to know what is going to happen to companies such as this look at the appliance market. Five years ago there very few "foreign" brands and now they are dominant.

"Plus 95 Evolution Furnace"
Installer advised Bryant furnace Evolution Plus 90i can't be made to work on "comfort" settings, consequently blows only slightly warm air, which causes wind chill in house.

Review:
"Not level"
We just had a new Bryant Furnace installed; there were more numbers to the model # and I could not find the exact number listed; it says on the furnace that it is the preferred series plus 90x. My husband is sleeping and I do not have the manual to get exact model # from it. This furnace is not level, the installers have been out several times and the last time we were told that this model is built to slant to one side so it can drain and that it is installed correctly. My husband had talked to the manager of the business that installed furnace and was told that it should be level; installer said manager was wrong. This is our third furnace in 40 years and never had one not level; also, if it is built to slant to one side, don't understand why the front panel looks crooked; I would think something built to slant would have a cover that also was on a slant. My husband told installers not to come back and is not happy, but maybe the furnaces these days are not supposed to be level, however, this just does not seem right to me and we certainly paid a high price for the furnace. If anyone knows about Bryant furnaces built to slant and not be level, I would appreciate your letting me know. Thanks so much!

"Bryant has found a way to rip you off more..."
Our electric, variable speed blower motor went out after only 5 years and 2 months of use. After having two technicians check the unit to make sure it was indeed the blower, they proceeded to tell me the unit was just 2 months out of warranty. So besides Bryant only making a product to last barely beyond their warranty, they also manage to rip you off by now making you purchase both the ecm and blower motor together. Previously, they sold the replacement parts separately saving the end- customer a small fortune. On top of the angst of replacing parts that should have worked for at least 10-15 years, the replacement parts are only warrantied for a year. So I'm sure I will be replacing parts in about 13 more months....Pathetic product.

"Serial #4909A01441"
I am resubmitting this because it submitted before I could type in my email address. Our family has ben unhappy with this furnance since the first day and it has only gotten worse. If we we're rich we'd have it ripped out and a different brand put in, but were not so we have to live with it. We set it for 62 at nite, while everyone is getting ready in the morning it's set for 67. As soon as they leave I turn it back to 62 so I don't have to listen to it run all day. I simply put on another sweater and have a blanket for my legs. When the kids get home from school I turnit back to 67 until we go to bed at 9:30 them it goes back down to 62, then we start all over again. The problems are that it clicks between 12 and 20 like a lighter is trying to work before it turns on, then when it does turn on, it sounds like there's a car with a bad tail pipe in our driveway or we compare it to hiring someone with a truck and scoop on to come and plow our driveway. The old furnace was the size on a small car, but it heated the house just fine and the only was we knew it was on was my going to a heat vent and feeling to see if anything was coming out. At the time something had happen to the ball bearings tht Schweickerts said was to expensive for us to repair so they recommended getting a new furnance. We knew it was old and trusted Schwickerts to be telling us the truth, we don't feel that way now. We would NEVER recommend this company or furnace brand to any friends or family members, we really wouldn't even recomend to someone we didn't like.

"Model #355CAVO42060FASA"
We have been unhappy with this furnace since the day it was installed. It makes a clicking noise about 12-20 times like you're trying to click on a lighter, then the furnace turns on. When this happens it is so loud we are continually looking in driveway to see if someone is hear with a bad tail pipe on their car or it sounds like a truck is plowing the snow from our driveway. Now when we have been down there doing laundry and the furnace turns on the duct work directly to the side on the furnace starts to shake and make a terrible noise. If I could I would gladly go back to the old furnace that was the size of a small car. It was heating just fine and we originally had Schweickerts over because that furnance started to make a noise - they said it was the ball bearings and they were'nt sure is they could get the parts in. I wish we would have just pressed them to get those parts in. That furnace was heating just fine and you had to actually go over and put your hand on the vent to see if it was running, which we liked. We want to have heat, we don't want to hear it running. In my bedroom I've closed my vent and put a board, then a piece of foam and they something heavier pushing against those two so I don't hear the furnace running. I keep the heat at 62 when we're sleeping, then while my husband and children are getting ready for school it's set at 67, then I set it back to 62 because I don't want to sit and listen to it clcking, and making all kinds of noise. If I get cold I'll put another sweater on or cover with a blanket in a chair. Then when everyone gets home at 5 p.m. it's set to 67 again until 9:45 when it goes back down to 62 while we sleep. It's to the point I want to use a credit card and have this new furnace ripped out and a different brand put in. I would NEVER recommend this brand to anyone.

"I Am Very Disappointed"
My furnace is only 6 years old, and the ECM Module went out. I was told this part cost $1,000 to replace. I am very disappointed that my repair bill was over $1,200 in a relatively new furnace. I feel this furnace was defective or sub-standard to start with. No one from Bryant has contacted me after I emailed them all of the information. I don't feel this furnace is safe. I would never recommend a Bryant furnace to anyone.

"I would think twice before you buy Bryantt"
My Bryant furnace is only 3 years old. I have had my BRYANT furnace looked at 14 times already. The last repair for the furnace was a complete circuit board replacement. I have call the Bryant office and told them about my ongoing problems with the furnace but they tell me that they have fixed it this time. I live in a brand new development and I have talked to other home owner that have Bryant furnaces. They all stated that they are very unhappy with the product and all the furnaces have needed repairs. Within the first couple of years of operation. I have asked the BRYANT representative to do the right thing and replace my furnace with another unit because this one is defiantly a lemon. Unfortunately they have not excepted responsibility for make a bad product. The only thing I can do at this time is make sure I post my story everywhere I can to make sure I inform as many people that I can. On how poor the BRYANT produce are and direct them to look at other manufacture for they're heating and cooling needs. I wish someone would have told me before I bought one!
