"People need to smarten up"
As you have read by now many people find some sort of issue with the Amana brand and especially with every brand of furnace/ac out there. Some complain that their unit is only 80% efficient and now 96. Well that's because they didn't want to pay up another $2000 for a much better unit and others keep complaining about faulty/noisy ventor motors. Well I hate to tell you but they are all the same that's why most of the replacement parts for all furnaces are interchangeable meaning you can use the same part on 30 different furnace brands. On another note, all these parts are made in China so the made in USA means nothing just that it was assembled in the USA. One must compare a furnace to a car as it does require regular maintenance and money to be re-invested over time as nothing lasts forever. I have installed many Carrier/Payne/Amana/Goodman/Rheem products over the years and just because you pay more money does not mean less repair bills down the road.

"Excellent equipment"
Just had my new 3 ton 95% efficient Amana installed yesterday. Compared to my 15 year old Goodman the noise upstairs is negligible. Woke up this morning and the cold spots that used to exist in the house (bedroom are on outside walls) are not noticeable any more. The new Amana puts out much more cubic feet of air than the old one. Ron the Furnace Man (Company business name) from Louisville, Ohio did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves.

"Great Furnace"
I am very happy with my Amana furnace. It appears from these reviews that anyone having problems with their Amana furnace is having them due to the installation not the furnace itself. People need to learn that you get what you pay for and if you pick the cheapest installer that doesn't put a lot of detail in their quotes you get a poor installation and it doesn't matter the brand of furnace as much as the installer. I liked Amana because its manufactured in the USA and because Goodman Manufacturing (that makes Amana furnaces) only makes heating and a/c equipment unlike some other companies that make other products (Carrier makes airplane engines, Whirlpool, Frigidaire) and others make other appliances. I wanted a company that specialized in making heating equipment and that made it in the USA that's why I picked Amana and I am glad I did.

"Great Furnace & AC!"
I had an Amana furnace and a/c system installed almost 6 years ago and love it. Its quiet and I've never had a problem. My gas and electric bill went down quite a bit after it was installed. Yesterday I heard my neighbor say he heard he needed a new furnace and I highly recommended Amana. I also recommended the company I used to install it too because I think that's half the issue when people aren't happy with their furnaces or a/c units.

"Amana Is Awesome, Best Investment !"
I have no idea how anyone gave a bad review to Amana, I replaced a very old gm Furnace (60s era) with the top of the line Hi-E Amana , I have saved at least $ 50. per month last winter (2010) and at least the same this past (2011) season ! Very quite, the ac is outstanding also. The best decesion I ever made.. My wife and I are very pleased and glad we choose Amana, and Gidich Heating & Air Conditioning (Lorain, Ohio) were very professional and we very happy with them as well. Great combo "Gidich & Amana"!!

"I Love my Amana"
I had two systems replaced in my home Upstairs was Trane system, downstairs Rheem system. The Trane developed leaks in the aluminum coils outside and the Rheem was so noisy I was ashamed to turn it on. They both worked just OK and were installed by the builder when the home was built a few years ago. Now I replaced both systems with new Amama 16 SEER 2-stage A/C units with matching Amana 95% AFUE furnaces in the attic. This was the best investment and I am so pleased in getting rid of the nasty Trane and Rheem units. I save over 50% on my utility bills and these new units are now so quiet inside and out its unbelievable. The installers were the best. It took them six days and worked like dogs. I replaced all the plastic flex ducts with metal ducts and now I have so much air in each room its amazing. I d really do believe that having good installers makes the difference. Amana is a great Product.

"JA JOHNSTON"
I bought a amvc95 95% 2-stage vari-speed furnace and ive found never have I been so comfortable. for the first time ever the thermostat does not move from 70*. plus my bills have never been lower. I put a asz14 heat pump with it. no service calls but if I did amana has a 10yr. parts and labor plus a lifetime unit replacement warranty. I believe the who put it in has every thing to do with it. maybe jon moon needs different installers. I love my amana......jj

"Amana is the BEST for homeowners"
It's truly sad that Jon Moon president of AAA Aire Heating & Cooling LLC. feels that Amana is hurting his business so much that not only did he inaccurately inform potential customers, he is so full of it that he forgot to include the brand he does install!!! Reason? cause when you compare it to the actual facts people will see how it falls short the the AMANA brand and its UNBEATABLE WARRANTIES. Example the AMANA line has Ten years parts, and LIFETIME COMPLETE FURNACE REPLACEMENT for the original registered owner and their spouse, which means should you ever have a failure of the heat exchanger guess what you get an entirely new furnace. And if that model is longer in production 20, 30, 40 years down the line you get the newer unit in its place. Now who has the customers best interest at heart. Most contractors who find failed heat exchangers elevate the charge for replacement of an heat exchanger purposely so you think it makes better sense to replace the whole furnace. Not AMANA Contractors. By the way have I mentioned AMANA uses 409 Stainless Steel while others use a lesser quality steel. Or that they offer the same warranties on certain air conditioning units as well. AMANA is no Goodman.... Amana® is a trademark of Maytag Corporation and used under license to Goodman Company, L.P. Houston-based Goodman Global, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of heating, ventilation and air conditioning products for residential and light-commercial use. The goodman line uses Alumizied steel for there heat exchangers and warranties are not the same. With AMANA your set for life, its a one time purchase and I've saved the best for last...if you should ever sell your home the next homeowner receives a 20 year warranty on the heat exchanger, 5 years on select air conditioning models. Educate your selves full before spending a cent and you'll see AMANA is the best choice for more reason then I've list here. Mike D. "Great Quality Good Price"
I live in Des Moines Iowa. I had an Amana amv95 and a asx18 last year by best Heating & Cooling. Well after a year of using the system we have saved some serious money on our MidAmerican Energy bill. They said it would be like 25% savings after a year I am 38%. The system is so quiet too. Not to mention the Dehumidification system that is built into the a/C. Our Iowa summers are very humid. I hope this review helps people make a good choice of systems. Make sure the company installing it know what they are doing. We found online reviews of best and they were really good. Good Luck
