"Love My Gas Boiler!"
We had a new Weil McLain cga4 gas boiler installed in our house and I am so glad we selected this system. Our contractor told use that this was a great system & they were right! Our gas bills have gone down & the top floor raditors get warm now as well. We are so happy with our new heating system & the preferred Washington Gas Contractor that we used!

"Had W-M installed in 1994"
We had a Weil-McLain boiler installed professionally in 1994. Live in Maryland and have used it quite often. Have not had a bit of trouble with it!!! After 18 years, I believe it has served us very, very well and not sure why all the negatives. Will be looking to replace it soon, only because of it's efficiency and how much more efficient the ones are of today.

"Never a problem"
I have had a Weil- Mclein oil boiler in my home for 22 years and had never once had a break down! I have the unit cleaned yearly and thats it. I am looking for a boiler for a rental I own and was quite supprised to see the negative reviews. I intend to install a w-m in my rental and am trusting I will have the same good experience.

I'm in the HVAC/R trade; I installed this boiler in my residence here on outer Cape Cod. My family's vacation home here has a wgo-3 installed in '06. There are lots of these Gold Oil units in service out here, as well as considerably older models still in service. While no manufacturer's equipment is completely fault-free, by and large Weil-McLain boilers have a great track record out here -- but only if they are properly installed and only if they are regularly -- and properly -- serviced.

"TIME TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT"
I am writing this as a installer/homeowner. I have been in the hvac trade for 23 years. When I started in this trade, the only boiler my boss used was the WEIL-MCLAIN models. I have installed models, ultra, gv, cgs, cgi, cga, heii, wgo, cgx, he, and several other models. The underlying issues with any of these boilers, or any manufactures boilers for that matter, is if they are not properly installed and set up right, they can not - I repeat- they can not run trouble free. Especially the Mod Con Boilers, they need to be installed and serviced by technicians that know what they are doing. I myself have several N.A.T.E. certificates. I would highly suggest homeowners to do their homework before purchasing expensive systems. The benefits of having a highly qualified installer do your installation will pay off bigtime. People need to understand the importance of regularly scheduled maintenance on their hvac equipment. I am not saying that wm boilers have been trouble free, what I am saying is that a lot of problems stem from the installation. People!!!- If it isn't installed right, how can you expect it to run right! My experience has been when I have had issues with wm boilers, I got great response through my distributor and made it right with my homeowners. When buying expensive equipment-take care of it! These comments are coming from an installers standpoint. No other brand is without problems, my advise to mr./mrs. homeowner is do your research on your product and definitely do your research on your installing contractor. I sleep well at night knowing that I have WEIL-McLAIN ULTRA 80 boilers in my own house as well as in all of my rentals.

"WEIL-MCLAIN is a well made boiler with some minor faults."
I have owned my Ultra Series gas boiler for about a year now. What I really like about the boiler is that it is efficient. Well-McLain includes Venturi mixing bodies in this piece of equipment which allows for gas and air to be combined more thoroughly. In times like these, efficiency is important. Another key factor that I like about this boiler is its reliability. No matter what the conditions, this boiler has always been reliable in times of need. What I dislike about the boiler is that the aluminum body dents easily. Thankfully, the dents are easy enough to pop out. If this boiler ever goes bad, which I doubt it will since it has not let me down so far, I would definitely buy the same brand again. If a friend was searching for a boiler, I would highly recommend Well-McLain boilers. They make quality boilers that are becoming more and more efficient.

"Propane Boiler that can't be beat"
The best boiler money can buy. I have had only two problems in twenty seven years. One was a bird came down the chimney and got into my blower motor. It was easy to replace. The other was a water pump wore out. Not a problem. I use this Weil-Mclain HE Series #3 boiler summer and winter. I want to convert to natural gas if parts are available. If not, I will buy another Weil-Mclain.

"5 section Gold oil fired Steam"
This boiler out performs 3 previous boilers in this building and is still running after 9 years with out a hick up. The only negative was it was heavier than taking down the stairs to the basement. Thank you Weil-Mclain!

"Best Boiler ever used in Home"
I have been using this boiler for more than one year. I like this boiler pretty much other than the old boilers that i do have. Nothing much to dislike about the boiler and everything is pretty much good about this boiler. I do have a problem with the plumber after placing the boiler because there is little room for the boiler to fit and then the work from the boiler company is pretty much awesome because they reacted in no time and cleared my problem as soon as they can. yes, i will recommend the same boiler to my friends, in fact i had already done that to couple of my friends.

"Great furnace"
Have had a Weil-Mcclain wgo Gold oil fired furnace for 8 years now. No problems whatsoever. Minimal, easy maintenance, quiet, highly efficient.
