"JUNK! Do no buy! Igniter fails weekly."
I signed up just to chime in, and am hoping that perhaps some kind of lawsuit will be brought against this company. We purchased our home this past Summer, and our first winter has been nothing but a cold, cold nightmare as the unit continuously suffers from an ignition failure. I have learned to clean the igniter, and that usually helps, but it is still failing constantly. Do not purchase these units.

Review:
"Worst ever!"
The Peerless Pinnacle gas fired boiler was going to be efficient. Professionally installed in 2003 October. Heated house that Winter. Broke down October 2004. Could find no heating company to perform repair. Peerless would not do anything to make get unit running, it was under warranty. Finally, removed it, installed an oil fired boiler (not Peerless) and this one has been perfect for 8 years with only routine cleaning. Very poor company. This cost me a lot due to re-installing and oil tank, the cost of the bigger gas line initially, etc. I will NEVER buy a Peerless boiler. If you like Peerless, I will sell you this $2,000 unit cheap. In MA. $500 takes it.

"2 cracked boilers in 16 years"
I installed a new Peerless steam boiler in 1996, it cracked in 2004. The warranty only covered the cracked section and it cost more for a plumber to breakdown the boiler and replace the section than it cost to buy a new model. The second new boiler cracked 8 years later in the same place that the first boiler cracked. I have been fighting with Peerless for 3 months and they claim that hard water is the cause. Do no buy a Peerless steam boiler, the company does not stand behind its products.

"Absolute junk"
This product is junk. I Was told by Peerless Tech support they have never encountered the problem I am having. But reading other reviews it is common. When the outside temp gets cold I have to replace the igniter 5-6 times a winter. We have replaced virtually everything on this unit and it's only 7 years old. The standard error we get is f09. I would participate in any action against Peerless to get this resolved.

"Piece of cra####"
Do not buy this brand. I got 1 year trouble-free then replaced all sensors, motherboard, harness and all wiring to control panel. Now constant f-09. Unable to take vacation for 6 years as pipes will freeze when I am away. No more this summer out this crap goes and in with a viessman. Will not buy another North American manufacturer of condensing boilers as they are mostly second rate obsolete technology with lazy r&d and sh#t service.

"Constant part failure"
I have two model P-199's for my apartment building. I love the efficiency, newer had better. But I've lost all the savings on my gas bill keeping the things running. Something fails every 6 months, and parts are absurdly expensive. I would have been better off heating my place by burning candles.

"Purefire P-210"
Installed this costly unit two years ago - after 2 years the blower failed - new blower part cost $560.00 plus labor, lasted all of two weeks and broke down. Wonder how long the new part will last. Old furnaces lasted 25 years without problems. buyer beware. Do not listen to people who have this less than two years. Did not realize such unreliable product could be sold in the US.

"I HATE this thing"
Installed at the recommendation of hvac guy 6 years ago. It has gotten progressively worse every season - nothing but f09 error codes (flame sensor). The cover was taken off so many times in the first few years the screws are stripped. Every service call resulted in the same... hit the reset.. clean the sensor.. nothing ever goes wrong with these - right. This year the error codes were up to once a week then once a day.. You cannot reach the company other than by email - no response. Our hvac people (who suggested replacing all the sensors - done, then figured it's the control panel) got us the number for Quality Sales who is a company rep. They came out (almost a two hour drive each way, won't that be a nice bill). He said it just needed cleaning inside so he took it apart and also found a broken ceramic collar that was broken. Cleaned it, replace the collar and all was well for about 8 whole days!!! No f09 - until last night. I is now flashing about every 2 hours. I never thought I would sign up for something just so I could say something but very interesting to see so many posts with the same problem - guess there's a reason Peerless won't publish their phone number.

"DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!"
We put this furance in our house in 2006 since then we have had our plumbing/heating man at our house at least once a year. Gone without heat for a week in the middle of winter in NE Pennsylvania waiting for parts from manufactor. Blah! Always need to pull parts out and shop vac debris, the flap that stops things from going in fell apart and went through the fan and broke the fan a $700 part plus labor, replaced sensors, and this year a new power panel that runs it. And a high electric bill for running space heaters. Loved spending my day today going into the basement for over 3 hrs just to get the damn thing to light. Finally after hitting the re-fire button over 30 times I have heat now that the house is in the 50's in January. Don't buy this peerless boiler!!!! It was rated high eff. yeah maybe if it worked so now it will be one for hours just to get the temp back up. This is the last winter it will be in our home. In total we have spent over $1,500 in repair bills

"F09 and no heat! JUNK"
Over the past 3 winters when it gets cold (under 30 degrees) my boiler shuts down with a f09 error. Am I the only one getting up 4-7 times a night to reset the boiler? If you have had this issue and fixed it can you share the resolution? This really sucks, we spent a lot of money on this boiler and it's Junk! I had to replace the blower/fan 2 years ago and that was a $600 bill!
