"Junk"
I installed the unit 9 years ago, first 2 years the unit was fine. Every year after that I have replace flame sensor! Either that or cleaned it with a emery clothe. Unfortunately there is no customer support. I spoke with a support technician and was told if I was not licensed they would not talk to me. Bad product and worse customer service. Sooner or later I will have to junk the unit and go with a Weil which I probably should have done in the beginning. Junk don't buy it.

"Flame detection faults"
The flame detector circuit is horrible. During the summer the flame detector will last 3 to 4 months, in the winter when you really need the unit, I have to replace the flame detector about every month. It is not only costly but very irritating to get into a cold shower. Does any one know a fix?

"CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT"
I have spent at least $2500 in repairs which is more $$ than I would have in extra gas if I had kept the old cast iron boiler it replaced during a remodeling six years ago. I have spent two winters with electric space heaters, in addition to pushing heat down from the forced- air attic unit that was only intended as supplemental heat for the second story addition. My kids and I have also become common visitors at the park district locker rooms where we shower for the past two years. We also have bathe “pioneer” style; boiling water on the stove… The Peerless representative came in and said that my floors had a leak, so I spent months trying to find someone who can detect the underground leak, and getting quotes to for a new furnace or baseboard heat. (Not to mention mentally preparing to tear my home apart). After spending another $500, I found there is no leak, and the problem is just the boiler. The boiler is trashed, and the Peerless Representative tells me the new boilers are far better. Is he kidding? Fool me once… I am now looking into a Triangle Tube vertical boiler, where the design helps the scale to be washed out by the condensate. Still researching.

"Pinnacle P140"
Traded a low efficiency low maintenance unit for this high efficiency high maintenance piece of junk. Peerless support is non existent. Finally purchased a $700 gas flue analyzer test equipment to set co/co2. During heat season flame sensor needs to cleaned at least twice. Combustion chamber needs to be cleaned at least twice a year, always lots of small nugget kernels of black residue. I'm told this is normal for LP. Most recent replacement was water pressure sensor. Kept sticking on low side shutting down boiler.

"Residential Boiler"
I have had nothing but trouble with this unit since we had it installed in our new house eight years ago. We use it for supplementary floor heat and domestic hot water. Every year around the beginning of heating season we have to have a repair technician out to repair anything from leaking seals, to malfunctioning thermistors, wire harnesses, and most recently, a new leak. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I am now researching replacement options for this system.

"Piece of JUNK"
Do yourself a favor and save yourself a lot of time and money by refusing to buy any Peerless Pinnacle boiler products. We built our house 4 years ago and have had problem after problem with our Peerless boiler. We are now in the process of replacing this junk, for what we have spent on repairs so far we could have replaced it once already. Terrible company, terrible products, terrible support...

"Don't buy this product"
Our builder put this boiler in when we renovated our house 4 years ago. We never questioned why they chose this brand Peerless PINNACLE-P1-140. We have regretted it ever since. Every season we have experienced issues that have shut down the unit. Our builder has bailed out on us saying the warranty was limited. We are now once again faced with failing parts (timing switch and temperature gauge). Probably $750-1000 repair. Ready to strangle someone!

"DEFECT"
Installed this Peerless PINNACLE-P1-199 boiler in my new house to be on the cutting edge of technology and efficiency and all I have are headaches!! Have replaced the inducer motor and housing 2 times now and it's about to come apart again!!! This is an obvious design flaw that Peerless refuses to address they just keep taking my money!! So much for the propane I have saved, I'm just handing it back to Peerless for parts!!

"HEARTBREAK HOTEL"
"This boiler made our life hell!" Is an understatement. It took only a few months before repairs were needed. The money I've put into it could have bought us a new boiler, which is what we finally have to do now. Would work fine for a month or so and then f09 or f10. Just 3 months ago we had a Peerless factory representative out who replaced all of the wiring and harnesses. The past month the errors returned and now f06 and f03 and completely inoperable. I have never previously owned such an unreliable piece of equipment. There should be a class action suit against this company.
