"PV73 Junk"
Moved into our house 6 years ago. Burnham pv73 installed in January, 2000 with the original owners and me believing there was a lifetime warranty. Starts leaking in August 2010. Warranty does not extend to me since I am not the original owner. Original owner called and made warranty claim. Burnham claims, he has no coverage since he is no longer living there. Warranty is bs unless you plan to stay in your home forever. Looking at $5,000 to replace boiler with a different manufacturer. Burnham stinks and I would join a class action suit with similar minded people.

"larry 7son heating vt"
After reading some of these reviews, I have found that the servicing company is very bad. I have not seen a single leaker that I could not get under warranty and as far as warranty coverage, every manufacturer is the same limited lifetime on block most are prorated. The company I buy my boilers from tells me the same day if they have approved warranty and they have them instock for same day install. From what I'm reading, it sounds like the heating contractors in your areas are taking advantage of you. You should not have to make one phone call. It should be up to the servicing contractor. Burnham v8 oil is a great boiler. I have installed over 300 units in the last 12 yrs and have had no issues. I only sell them.

"Buying another boiler and it wont be Burnham!!"
I bought a Burnham boiler to heat a 3000 sq ft house with in floor heating in the basement (additional 2100 sq ft). I bought the largest domestic boiler Burnham had and I beleive the installer was somewhat familar with the product. About one year into the operation of the boiler, we began to have problems: values leaking some zones hot others not, lines breaking and so on. I called the installer and he did little to repair the product so I called Burnham to ask if this was normal for the boiler and if not, where to look for problems and how to correct them. They brushed me off stating in around about way that they didn't want to irk their wholesalers (ie they valued them more than the people who bought their rubbish) so I continued to get shafted by this installer and others. Bottom line-I never felt comfortable with this heating system. I was always waiting for it to malfunction. And in an area of the north where winters last for 8 months and -45 is almost the normal, it's not a nice feeling. Anyway, I'm rehabbing my 10th house (this time on the coast in Or) and it needs a new boiler. It gives me great pleasure in buying my fifth boiler that is not Burnham!! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it Burnham!!

"MPO115"
I replaced a 30 year old Burnham oil boiler with their new mpo115 last summer. Now that I have a years worth of history, I can see that I have saved over 25% on my oil consumption. I was a little concerned about using another Burnham, but my contractor told me this mpo is a good boiler and easy for him to service and he has installed over 100 of them with good results.

"V11 Series"
We have a couple dozen v11 series boilers which have experienced leaks since about year nine. Can anyone shed light on the v11 series problems? We would consider leading a class action effort if there are others with the same problems with these models.

"Another Burnham v8 dead before 9 years"
Like many others here, I had a Burnham v8 installed by Petro in 2001. Block cracked in 2010 less than 9 years after installation. Petro's only response: "Call the manufacturer". Burnham expects me to wait 2 weeks for a replacement, then spend $2000 to have it installed? While living with no heat or hot water? I'm having a Weil-McLain installed tomorrow. Never buy Burnham, never use Petro. Both companies despise their customers. You've been warned.

"MPO Boiler"
We have had our Burnham mpo series oil boiler for about 4 years. This was the first one our contractor installed and he has been impressed on the ease of servicing each year. Very reliable so far, and we have saved a lot on our fuel bills.

"Garbage"
House came with a Burnham kv74 boiler installed in 1997. Told yesterday that it has "rot hole on top of unit block" and needs to be replaced. 13 years on a oil burner? In the 3 hears we've owned the house it has needed non-routine service 3-4 times/year.

"Burnham V-73-T"
We are the original owner of this boiler. The house was purchased new. Burner tech found a small crack in the block. It would cost $2,600.00 to replace the block. I will contact Burnham directly. It is still under a limited warranty. We see what happens from here. Don't think I want another one.
