"WASTE OF 10K"
I have Buderus 2 years old and never went more than 4 weeks without waking up to 55 degrees. By the time the installer felt it was the "brain" the parts house wouldn't warranty it. Spent over 1k and still have the same problem. We can't even plan a winter vacation till this is solved.

"Junk"
Our heat exchanger is 3 years old and we have put in $3000.00 in repairs. The boiler unit rusted out ($2300) and now the control module keeps blowing fuses ($700). Then the parts were obsolete and the company would not provide the proper parts... junk junk junk!

"Leaky Buderus Boiler"
Replaced 40 yr old boiler in late fall 2009 with a GB142-45 boiler and hot water heater. That winter it ran well and gas consumption was 40% less than with old boiler. In January 2011 boiler began to leak -- on a cold weekend -- a quick fix stopped most of the leak over the weekend, but it shut down completely a few days later. After $1400 in labor and parts to fix it, it stopped leaking and ran well for remainder of winter. The installation was a neat, professional job, and the contractor was very responsive with the repair. Buderus in NH has been unresponsive to several e-mails about reimbursing me for the failure of their equipment just 14 months after it was installed.

"New boiler"
Just had my Buderus boiler g115/4 installed the other day 4/12/11. Had that with a Tekmar 260 outdoor reset installed with my Amotrol indirect hot water with no problems other than a bad Tekmar relay that had to be replaced. Was a little nervous with complaints listed hre but not a problem on my install. Had a Riello burner with it. Would definitly reccommend

"Service nightmare"
Two years ago we bought what we thought was a top of the line heating system a year ago. The model was gb142 our contractor had problems getting it going initially, and got little support from the company finially after two days of trial and error changing parts he was able to get us hot water. Six months later it went out again, and had to replace some of it's electronics, we were charged over $600 I called the Buderus and they were rude, and said they don't pay labor costs, non negotiable. So you can imagine we have been a little leary, this week we get it serviced and are told the block is rotting out and loosing a bunch of its metal into the drain on the bottom and it will continue to do so. I think we got a lemon and they are not willing to talk to consumers, I just keep getting the run around. Wishing now I had went with an American brand.

"Undependable System"
Purchased the GC 124 residenial unit and had it installed on October 22,2010. Five days later the unit worked for the first time after it was discovered the unit was wired wrong from the factory. The first problem occured on 10-28, the unit shut off. The contractor was called and a defected part was replaced. For the next month, the unit would shut off, contractor called, and another part was replaced. A Buderus sevice rep was called, and he had no answers as to why the unit shuts off. Now 4 months later, with every new part replaced, the problem continues. Only way to get heat, is to turn the electric off and the unit resets. Completely undependable unit, I am confined to my home unsure when the unit will shut off which can result in extensive water damage.

"Buderus untrained guy"
Paid a guy in Lindenhurst $12K to install he hooked it up wrong and said he wast rained in Buderus but lied. I paid $5K more to fix it right. How can you tell if a mechanic is really trained in Buderus?

"Nothing but problems"
We average a service call every other month, as soon as one thing seems to work something else goes wrong. You put your money into an expensive system for efficiency and less headaches. This system is the complete opposite, not only is it just not worth the extra money, it is an inferior product. Just look at the reviews on this site alone, it seems it is a 50/50 proposition whether or not you will have problems. Not a gamble worth taking for 1,000's of dollars.

"Piece of crap"
Not efficient. Won't maintain house temperature, even though it is oversized. Using 7 gallons of propane a day for just heat and it is not that cold yet. Spend your money on a traditional boiler. My 142-45 is junk.

"You are on your own with poor product"
Firstly--A boiler is a boiler, and there isn't a huge amount of difference between different makes. Buderus makes a fine boiler, but where they fail is uncooperative, useless finger-pointing product support. I had a sloppy Buderus install by a pretty mediocre contractor (yes, they were fully licensed but not skilled). I won't do business with them again, but nobody else in my major metro area will even touch a Buderus. Buderus will not help me find a new contractor, nor will they help me find spare parts, not even minor ones like pilot orifaces. They also work harder than any company I have ever seen to obscure their part numbers beyond recognition, so you cannot find compatible parts. Nor will the make sure I, as the end user am a satisfied customer because they (unlike other major boiler manufacturers) will sell their product to any contractor that comes along, no matter how bad, but they have no leverage over bad installers because there are no actual standards for those installers unlike, say--Weil-Mclain.
