Company History

Vaillant was founded in 1874 by Johann Vaillant, and today has sales and distribution companies across America, Asia, and Europe. Vaillant continues to follow its original mission which it describes as "Constantly looking out for solutions which will improve the domestic comfort of their customers."

Vaillant patented the "closed system" in 1894 which meant that for the first time, water was heated in a hygienic manner. In 1924, Vaillant developed a central heating boiler, and the most recent innovation is the air-water heat pumps.

Product Lines

In the United States, Vaillant produces solar products including home water heaters, pool heater, and radiant heating. They contribute to zero energy homes and guide consumers by offering a number of solar heating assessment tools.

Vaillant Warranty

For boilers less than two years old which were serviced after the first 12 months, Vaillant offers a two-year warranty. Vaillant also offers a Bronze Star annual check along with a Gold Star comprehensive breakdown cover.
