Potterton Boilers

Potterton is a British company owned by the Baxi Group, a leader in the field of heating systems throughout Europe and headquartered in Britain. They have manufacturing plants in France, Italy, Germany, Denmark, and Spain in addition to Britain. The company markets various heating and hot water systems such as central heating, hot water heating, space heaters, radiators, and boilers.

Potterton company history goes back about 150 years. It was founded in 1850 by Thomas Potterton in Ballam, London who set up office as a general contractor. The first gas boiler installation in 1902 set it firmly on a path of growth that has culminated in the award winning Potterton Gold Combi 24 HE model.

Product Lines

The Potterton product lines display innovative technology in a variety of ways. They have a range of gas boilers as well as those that use solar energy.

Gas boilers come as combi boilers, heat-only boilers (Promax and Performa), and system boilers (Promax System HE A). In addition to these, there is a line of high efficiency floor-standing models (Promax HE Store with hot water storage, and Promax FSB 30 HE).

The Solar range includes both in-roof and on-roof models and come with a variety of optional accessories such as a Solar Gain Flow Meter & Sensor and an Antifreeze Test Kit.

Potterton's Warranty

Potterton's products come with company-backed warranty which varies depending on the product. The Gold Combi HE, for example, comes with a three-year warranty on parts and labor. The Promax HE Plus heat-only boiler comes with a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

A range of break-down plans are available to help negotiate repair work and after sales service. Extended warranty options with a monthly fee are also available after the free warranty period ends.
