"Works Fine Since 11/2009 Installation"
I have had no problem at all since Nov 2009 installation. You can hear the air blowing through the vents. It is a split system with RCFL-HM4821AC evaporator coil and RGRM-10EZAJS furnace. 10 years limited warranty on AC and furnace and 5 years on coil. Had RGRA removed after a few days because of whirring noise. Don't get that one!

"RUUD is RUDE during the winter"
Very satisfied with the cool & heat. Not satisfied with the harmonic noise-- ONLY-- in the winter when the heat is on? Could this be a problem with the indoor coil? Or, could it be that furniture is blocking my return vents upstairs? I have a ranch style home with a basement & the RUUD unit is centrally located in the basement. I read a review from ROY THOMPON in Texas. His review apprised me of the return vents were not pulling accurately. Could this be a problem for a lot of home owners who are unaware of this scenario? I like my RUUD AC & although the noise in the winter is annoying, I can deal with it. I would have a difficult time rearranging the furniture due to the return vent locations. Give me some feedback on this. I've been on my installers case for 2 years. He thinks I need a new coil. The FERGUSON distributor in LOUISVILLE is apparently hard to deal with according to my installer- STACEY FAULKNER. He is a good guy who is frustrated with the Ferguson Co. I would have to wait till winter to do the rearranging of the furniture since the heat will not be used until then. Please respond if you have any of my RUUD symptoms. Thanks Brian.

"Air Handler harmonic sound(correction)"
This Home Owners complaint was dated 01-28-2011.I complained of a Harmonic Sound coming from the blower motor and wheel and blamed the Ruud manufacture of a faulty unit.I want to apoligize to RUUD.The Unit blows Heat an Cools fine.The Harmonic annoying sound was do to the fact the two floor wall return vents were not pulling air equally.Once the obstruction was corrected by the homeowner on discovery the harmonic sound ceased and all is well.I am a proud owner of RUUD AC.I am pleased.

"RUUD still going after 20 years"
Another summer is here and the unit is still working. Needs freon but it is still somewhat cooling. Will have annual maintenance done soon, to correct that. Will shop for another Ruud for my mobile home. The contractor wants to put in a Goodman, but you get what you pay for. Goodman is cheap. Happy with Ruud. I don't know who the installer was though.

06-16-09 Model # 92-23-435-01-00 The unit has frost build up on the pipe outside connected to the outdoor unit. Other than that ,the unit has performed great! Albert Dent
