"5 ton ac unit"
Our compressor recently went out on our Lennox ac. The unit is 16 years old and was there when we bought our house. We have been satisfied with the unit so we were happy to replace the condenser and coil with new Lennox equipment.

"AIR CONDITIONER REVIEW"
Lennox is a well known trusted brand and I have owned this air conditioner for almost two years. I like that it runs smoothly but I don't like that I can hear it so vividly and I expected it to be almost silent, from the way the company advertised it on the box. I don't like loud machines, especially when my two year old is napping. But on the other hand, I have not had to repair or replace it yet. I would buy the same brand again and recommend it to a friend because its inexpensive and worth the cost. This machine puts out very cool air; the air is almost colder than the one in my freezer.

"No sweating with an air conditioner"
I bough the Lennox 13acx Air Conditioner last summer, and have enjoyed the ease and cold air that this air conditioner provides. Living in a small house, this unit was a cost effective way to stay cool in the hot summer without having to pay much money for the unit, or for the electrical bill. The unit does not offer a lot of features compared to other units, but the cost can't be beat. The unit is pretty quiet, but at times it appears to make more noise than other, more costly units. The air conditioner is from a trusted brand as I have bought many products over the years from them for various houses and projects. I wanted to make sure I had a reliable and quality unit for me home, so I only looked at the brand name products, and this one stood out as a winner. I also wanted one that came with a good warranty, and this unit came with a 5 year warranty, which is sufficient, as my experience is that most problems occur during the first two years.

"Review of Lennox Central Air Conditioning System"
I own Lennox CHA16-90 Central air conditioner. I have been using it since July 2008 and it never encountered any major problems except the motor has been replaced once. The performance has been ultimate. The cooling is so instant and we do not have to wait long to get my apartment cool just after the start. It delivered greater efficiency for most of the days in an year. There is only one or two instances where it lacked performance i.e. during a party at my place where my house was a little bit crowded and my AC was unable to take the load and it struggled to keep the place cool and once the motor has been replaced as it got burnt because of these overload conditions. But on overall, it delivered best performance throughout the year. I would go for same brand again for now with greater cooling capacity as my current one has problems keeping the place cool when crowded. I would recommend this brand for my friends and it will never let down anyone coming to the performance and efficiency.

"HOME OWNER IN HOT FL KEYS"
My unit is a dual stage compressor unit with electric coil heat. it is still working even though the outdoor compressor unit aluminum parts around the copper tubing has corroded almost into nothing [white powder], I guess lennox ac's were built better back in 1985. over 28 years I have replaced a "compressor interlock", an "evaporator fan motor" and several "fan belts", and 2 electric heater "contactors" relays. last year the low capacity compressor stopped working, but the hi capacity still cools my home [ac runs mid may to mid oct, 93 day hi temp 82 night lo temp]. I am a diy electrical tech and do repairs myself. I am now trying to figure out what is wrong with the electrical parts. I will post later my findings. after reading all the previous review I would use trane or goodman if I replaced this lennox top of the line unit.

"Could be better, Could be worse"
This is the original unit that was installed it the house when we built it in 1999. No choice, that's what the builder picked. In general, it works well. We have a 2,567 sq.ft 1 story and the Lennox is a 5 ton, 12 seer unit. We had a condensor replaced for about $150 after 3 years in the house. The temperature sensor in the furnace had built up and would not fire the furance 2 winters ago. We had Mr. Cool of Plano come out and they repaired it for $80. I replace a burned out fan motor last winter for about $130 myself. On Friday, I had Mr.Cool come out again to check the system. It was 3 lbs low on R22. The service call was $165. It was hot and humid yesterday, the unit wasn't cooling great and ran constantly. They came out again today and checked it out again. It has a refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil and they recommend at least replacing it. I'm still reviewing brands and getting quotes. We'll see.
