"Great Unit"
My central air conditioner and gas furnace was installed in 1998 with 6 year parts and labor warranty. Only problem was a recall on the ignitor on the furnace, otherwise no problems!

"Fan Motor caught fire"
We just purchased our home in March 2011, although the a/c unit wasn't new we expected it to last more than 1 1/2 years. My husband was home about a week ago and just stepped out of the shower to realize the house was filled with smoke, he and the animals made it outside, however, after the fire department was called it was determined it was the fan motor on the a/c unit which caught on fire. It could have been very serious as my bedroom is just on the other side of the wall from the a/c unit and if this had happened while we were sleeping we would have probably been killed from smoke inhalation.

"Piece of Crap"
I have only had the unit for a little over 4 years. The stupid regulator that was put on for "efficiency" malfunctioned and caused my coil to get a leak. The warranty on these units suck. One year for only compressor and coil. Really! Have and extended warranty that doesn't cover much more. These units according to the two ac Techs I have spoken with are a joke. They cant even believe the the compressor and coils only have a one year warranty where as others have five or ten on their products. That alone goes to show Intertherm doesn't believe on the longetivity to their own product.

"Bad product"
This unit came with my brand new mobile home six years ago. we have had nothing but trouble out of it. we are always having to do something with it. coils, blower motor, wiring, and the list goes on. recently it has been leaking water all on the floor and costing thousands in damage. I have cleaned coils once every six months and also changed filters once a month. still the coils have managed to get clogged up. I hope intertherm goes out of buisness, because they can't make a good a/c unit.

"Intertherm a/c and heaters are trash"
The a coil is on top of the squirrel cage and wiring and leaks water from the pan all over the wiring and shorts it out and has caught on fire and everything and is dangerous and useless. Why would anyone design water above electrical wiring is beyond me. They must be retarded.

"Homeowner"
This unit started leaking freon within a couple of weeks of it's installation in a new home. The company that installed it replaced freon a couple of times, replaced both coils, and then refused to do anything more unless we paid, though the freon kept leaking. We've had the unit charged again and again by a major company, and they told us the unit is a lemon. We are seniors rearing a special needs grandchild who needs AC due to severe asthma. We are filing a complaint with the state.

"Very BAD"
Our Intertherm unit was installed in our new home 4 years ago. In that 4 years, we have had 4 service visits including 2 faulty evaporator coils and 2 bad contactors in the heating fan. My last unit was a Carrier and went 7 years without any issues. When this one finally goes, I won't be buying another one!

"Intertherm AC Unit"
This is the worst unit known to man. I have not even lived in my home for 4 years, and every year I have had an issue with this unit. Twice it's lost its freon. Just August of 2009, the compressor died! It took 6 weeks to get it fixed as Residential Technical Services-Group Owner Bob Reeser is the worst service group ever- Clayton Home buyer beware! Get it all in writing on this crappy unit and crappy service group!

"Evap coil of A/C unit"
In Dec. 2006, I purchased this unit (model#Q3RD036K; serial# q3f060901943) for my home. Florida Home A/C installed it. As it has been 4 years since the purchase, I have had issues with the unit losing freon. I recently found that there were several leaks in the evap coil. I had hoped that once I purchased this unit for my home, that I would have a great long time before having to deal with any future problems, as I had with the previous unit that came with my mobile home. Now, I am looking at having to replace the bad coil, and after paying over $3900 for the installation and maintenance, and freon (up to 3lbs at one time of loss). I now have to put out close to $700 more dollars for the work to remove and replace this faulty piece. I would like to make it known that if there is a problem with this particular product, other people need to know. I am submitting this review as my complaint for this unit.

"intertherm units"
I have owned an Intertherm unit for 1 1/2 years and it is a piece of crap. The warranty sucks and the only dealer in town that deals with this unit is rude.
