"Katrina Goodman"
When we returned home after Katrina we found our Goodman laying in the backyard but still attached to the house. It was hot so I turned it on. Worked fine. 5 years later still works fine. When it does finally fail I'll replace with another Goodman !

"I love my central air."
I purchased our central air conditioner about a year ago. Where I live at it would sometimes get up to 98 degrees in the summer which is really unbearable with the humidity level high. When I first looked around at central air units, price was one of my major concerns. I decided to go with this particular model because it is highly efficient. Compared to when I was using the window ACs it has drastically lowered the price of our bill. It also uses a ozone layer friendly gas which I also liked. The contractors who put it in were fairly quick about it. From seeing them install it, it looked pretty easy to do. This particular model has lights for when it needs maintained or serviced which is really going to help out my wallet later on. So far I haven't had to have it looked at. Over all I am very happy with the way it performs. Lower bill and great cold air without having to lug around boxy window ACs. I really enjoy it and would recommend this brand to my friends and family.

"Cool and comfortable!"
We installed this central air conditioner in one of our rental properties last spring. We chose it because it has a reputation for being effective, efficient, and also easy on the environment because it doesn't release substances that contribute to ozone layer damage. That's important to us. We also picked this model because it has a diagnostic module that detects problems and informs the contractor about them using a series of codes. This means that our contractor or repairman has an easier time diagnosing and fixing the problem, and saves us money on per-hour labor. This is a huge plus, especially because the unit is installed on rental property that we want to maintain financially profitable for us. Our Goodman unit runs quietly and has not yet had any problems. Our tenants have been very happy with the unit, and report that it keeps the house comfortable even on very hot and humid days. However, their energy bills have actually become lower since we installed this air conditioner, since this unit is so much more efficient than the one we had on that property previously. It's quiet and unobtrusive. I'd recommend this unit without reservation!

"This Summer I Will Be Better Prepared"
Three summers ago I was unfortunately greeted with the failure of my air conditioning unit so I made the decision and commitment to install central air conditioning into my home. After reviewing the advantages and disadvantages of central air conditioning and couldn't help notice the advantages out weight the disadvantages and so I almost instantly called my local contractor to install my new Goodman unit. Since the installation I've been pleasantly surprised as how efficient this unit is comparable to standard window units. The only draw back I can recollect is that my unit was in need of repair almost 6 months after its installation which I feel was the result of the season changes and not the unit itself. Despite this set back I would still give my recommendation to friends who are in the market for central air conditioning. In addition, I dont think there is anything to dislike about this air conditioner because it is virtually maintenance free.

"13+yrs and going strong"
I bought a house in No. Virginia in 1997 that had no AC and electric baseboard heat. I immediately had a Nat. gas furnace (Dependable 92), Central AC for the 1st floor (2.5ton) and a heat pump installed upstairs (1.5 ton). I had the igniter replaced twice on the furnace in 14 winters. No other maintenance required. I chose Goodman simply because it was half the price of the others and I was broke. Total install including ducting and a water heater about 10K. The dealer installer was very honest with me, he informed me that the heat pump is great in moderate temperatures but will struggle in the extremes. 100+F days the HeatPump struggles to maintain 75F and below 0 winter nights struggles to maintain 70. The furnace and AC unit downstairs have had no problems in maintaining desired temperatures in any climate. This is my 14th year and I know the units will need replacing soon. Fortunately the dealer installer is still in business and should have no problem swapping out units as needed. I do plan on using a different brand for the Heat pump though! Overall I have had minimal issues and feel very satisfied with the GOODMAN products! Good Luck Rush

"Saved me a lot of money"
We replaced our 20 year old Janitrol 2 ton air conditioner with a 2 ton ,13 seer unit and gas furnace this past June and are very pleased! Our June electric bill was $81 and it wasn't very warm outside, but we would turn it on at 4:30 in the afternoon and run it to get the house cooled down so we could sleep comfortably. It was a 10 SEER rated. We had the new system installed the end of June and started using it the first heat wave on July 2nd! We decided to run it the whole month and see if it was really energy efficient as we were led to believe. Our July electric bill was $86, only $5 more than Junes bill was! It would cycle nicely and kept our 1050 sq ft ranch home nice and cool at 72 degrees! We are very pleased with our Goodman unit! we will review our new gas furnace, 70,000 btu- 80% efficient unit half way through the winter season. we hope the savings there will also be substancial!

"USMCGAB"
With the exception of Trane whop has its own compressor, ALL units have the same parts in them. And yes even trane has the same coils, fan motors, and etc...It all starts with the installer. As an Electrical and HVAC contractor I see a lot of screw ups in these installations. Just like all man made products you are going to have some lemons. Over all Goodman has the best warranty of them all and the best price. Remember, it your installer is not a license contractor through the state or the authority having jurisdiction, then you have a boot leggier and you get what you pay for. The majority of the problems I have seen, has always been poor installation

"Works great!"
Built a new home 2 years ago and installed a 3 1/2 ton Goodman unit. The AC unit has worked without any problems and the utility bills are very reasonable. I think a lot of the issues people run into is a result of poor installation quality of some HVAC companies.
